Rovinj

R ovinj (Rovigno in italian) is a small town in Croatia, situated in the north-western part of Adriatic Sea and on the western coast of Istrian peninsula. Once being a fishing port, this small town is today a well known tourist resort.

It is one of the most pictoresque towns of the Adriatic Sea and therefore very photogenic, primarily thanks to it’s charming old town. The old town was built on the hill, which was once an island. And on top of it the church of St. Euphemia was built. Today St. Euphemia is considered the protector of the town. To reach the hilltop you have to use one of many cobbled streets going up the hill.

Except the old town, it is famous by it’s 14 islands, beautiful beaches and Punta Corrente forest.

It’s charming lungo mare promenade is very special. You can enjoy walking along the coast or sit by the sea and drink your favourite coffee, and all that with a beautiful old town image in front of you.
